Director/Designer for Boulder

Directed and designed Half a String's production of Boulder.

In this reimagining of the Greek myth, an intricate puppet is doomed with the hopeless task of pushing a colossal stone up a hill. Trapped in an endless cycle, the man wrestles with his pointless existence cursing the futility of life. Boulder fuses transforming sets, puppetry and earthy hand-drawn animation, all accompanied by live cello, atmospheric voices and original music.

Supported by The Marlowe, co-commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre & ACE.
